About This Project

Grey Gables

This property was on the Wentworth Estate and was principally designed to address the site’s orientation south to the front and north to the rear. The building was designed on three floors to maximise height and area according to the Wentworth Estate rules.

The clients were keen to produce an individual, contemporary house in this setting. The floor plate shape was designed to maximise the intake of sunlight into the house at the rear of the site, a factor that heavily influenced the choice of glazing and materials.
