Eton College approached Lewandowski Architects to design a sports pavilion to replace their existing tennis pavilion. The scheme also includes two full size all-weather hockey pitches and a separate warm-up area.
The pavilion is discreetly located within the site, sheltered by existing trees and new planting to reduce the impact upon its surroundings. The use of floor to ceiling corner glazing and retractable screens allows the building to open up fully to the elements when in use. When not in use the building can be fully closed up providing security and privacy.
